The Association of MBA Spring Fair was held on Saturday 21 April 2012 at The Park Plaza Hotel in Victoria, central London. AMBA recorded a record number of visitors and I (Lucy Reynolds, Admissions Officer) attended with our new MBA/Offshore Operations Director Marianne Nimmo. As a recent Strathclyde MBA graduate herself, Marianne was able to discuss with enquirers what the programme is really like! 40 top European Business Schools attended, and with the London weather holding out for us, the afternoon was a real success.

Prior to this event, AMBA held its yearly Marketing and Admissions Forum on Friday 20th April at The Grosvenor Hotel Victoria, where Admissions and Marketing colleagues from AMBA accredited schools discussed various current recruitment issues. The overall feeling is that whilst UK Full-time applications numbers are down, the quality of applicants and competition for places remains very high and part-time and distance learning MBA programmes are actually seeing healthy growth. The event provided a worthwhile networking opportunity and i, along with colleagues from the likes of LBS, Cass, Manchester, Lancaster, Aston and Nottingham Business Schools took advantage of the chance to grill each other on current application trends and find out a little more about what developments are ongoing at AMBA.
