Next up in our ‘Meet the Programme Team’ series, we meet Angela McAuley, Susan Frew and Tracy Lang who manage our MBA students across our 9 international centres:

Angela McAulay started working at the University back in 1997 as a Secretary to four academics in former Graduate School of Business (now SBS). After a year in this role Angie moved to a role in the International MBA programmes Office where she has now been for 13 years. As one of the two Programme Administrators for our International Centres currently has responsibility for all manner of Student Business issues at our Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Oman and Switzerland Centres.

Angela McAuley, MBA Programme Administrator

The role of Programme Administrator is wide-ranging, encompassing everything from Registration to ensuring exam and assessments are managed correctly to liaising with visiting teaching staff going out to our Centre’s to teach on the MBA programme, working with our local partners, colleagues and students and helping Graduation day go smoothly too.  Since being involved with the international Centre’s, she has regularly visited and helped train staff at partner Centre’s and is an integral part of the Annual International Partners Meeting, which in recent years has been in Switzerland, Malaysia and Abu Dhabi. Angie particularly enjoys these as “(they) provide the opportunity to meet with all centre administrators and catch up on what has been happening and we also use this opportunity to make plans for the way forward”.

Angie’s favourite Centre location to visit is Oman as she has family based there and has visited many times.  She recently visited family in New Zealand and when not planning her next long haul trip she enjoys driving and spending time with her family.

Susan Frew has worked for the Business School for over 20 years, previously working in admissions, marketing, with the part time MBA and for the past 15 years with the International Programme.  She has travelled extensively in her numerous roles here and lived in those regions for extended periods to work with local colleagues many of whom have become lifelong friends.

She is currently Programme Administrator for our Centre’s in Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.  Susan also continues to visit our Centre’s and attend the International Partner’s conferences.  When not planning her escape to go and live somewhere hot she loves family holidays and has definitely passed her love of travel and seeing new places onto her young children.

Tracy Lang has been with the University for 17 years, and has always worked in a Finance Capacity. Her current role as Finance Administrator means she has the daunting task of ensuring that students, at all the various points of their study plans, across all our Centre’s are all up to date with payment of fees (and she knows where they live….). She also works with our local Centre partners in all manner of financial matters. Tracy is very active, makes full use of the University gym facilities, regularly plays badminton and likes a bit of Zumba.
